School Leavers

Trainees joining Richardsons directly after leaving school undertake a training contract. You will study towards the internationally recognised Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification which takes two to three years depending on previous qualifications. There may then be the opportunity to progress to the full Association of Chartered Accountants (ACA) examinations, with various exam exemptions offered after AAT success.

For our trainees, the AAT qualification involves weekly visits to First Intuition, a highly regarded non-residential national training organisation.

Upon completion, you may choose to continue attending First Intuition for your remaining study, or move to residential courses at Reed Business School, near Moreton-in-Marsh in the Cotswolds.

The costs of the above are all covered by Richardsons as part of your training contract, with the exception of exam retakes.

‘Joining Richardsons having just left school was very daunting at first. As soon as I joined, I was welcomed by everyone and made to feel part of the close-knit team. There was constant support which enabled my knowledge and skills to be built up significantly. This makes work and studying both highly enjoyable experiences here at Richardsons.’
