At Richardsons we are very proud of our involvement with the local community.  In the past 2 years our staff have had the opportunity to participate in the Rotary Club of Thame and District Business in the Community Programme, in which local businesses send volunteers to help out with various community projects.  The businesses involved in the programme this year are Farol Ltd, Kubota, Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, Lightfoots Solicitors, Lucy Engineering Ltd, Oxfordshire Hotel Spa and Golf Club, Waitrose Thame, and of course Richardsons!

Our staff members Jack and George began our involvement in this year’s volunteering sessions at Thomley, a centre that supports disabled people.  The volunteers painted and decorated, and Brewers in Aylesbury generously supplied the paint materials and equipment required for the work.

Our next team consisted of Charlie, Lauren, Tracy and John and they worked outside at Red Kite Family Centre, a community run family centre in Thame.  The work done by the volunteers made a big difference to the outside space at the Red Kite Family Centre.

‘An extremely fun day, with lots of laughs had by all.  A fantastic opportunity to meet new people from the local community.  The work was enjoyable and rewarding, the final result definitely gave me a sense of achievement.  Highly recommend people to get involved in the future, I certainly will be.’ John Holland, Senior Manager
