19th December 2012
Firstly, from our corner of rural Oxfordshire, please let me wish you all the compliments of the season, and a sincere hope for a happy and prosperous New Year.
I refuse to allow myself to become downhearted by the gloomy weather and the gloomy news reports. There is still a lot of exciting economic activity going on, and when I look back over the year's blog posts, I can get quite optimistic about some of the positive news for the businesss community. Don't get me wrong; there are still a lot of challenges to overcome, but I do get some enthusiastic feedback, from clients based elsewhere in the EU, that the UK is still one of the best places to do business.
Oxfordshire is particularly favoured. Lots of innovative businesses spring up out of the technology of our academic powerhouse, and we have a vibrant community of professionals and Business Angels, along with a plethora of incubators and other accommodation and support for these creators of ideas and wealth. I, for one, am going to approach the New Year with a positive attitude!
Now, who is going to volunteer to fix that weather?
Have an enjoyable and relaxing break
